Brown Spots, wrinkles, and large pores

Hello everyone,

It's been a while! I've been neglecting you because I've been doing a little restructuring in my personal life and I wanted to try some of the products that I purchased in Mexico. Yes I went to Mexico in hopes of meeting my biological father, didn't meet him but established communication again. So last time we talked about age spots, stretch marks, and weight loss. On this blog I'll update you on  some products and procedures and post pictures.

In late August I had a 2nd Microdermabrasion treatment which I love! I also had juvaderm injections on lips did not love, and I tried botox on my crows feet for the first time as preventitive measures to future wrinkles. The microdermabrasion was done with a diamond tip and the glowing results lasted about a week. I had tried Restylane twice before for Halloween and the results usually only lasted a little under a month, expensive at $375 if you ask me. They had told me that my metabolism was fast and therefore absorbed the material faster than usual. So this time around I tried Juvaderm which was more expensive but was said to last longer. It lasted about a month at double the price, so needles to say temporary injectables will not be on my list of favorites. I think I'll Silicone injections next.

The botox is still working no matter how hard I smile that area will not budge. I had 6 units injected to each side for a total of 12 at $144, not bad for 4 months. I do have to warn you about a side effect that I experienced and is not listed, nor do the experts warn you about. I got flu like symptoms, chills, sore throat, runny nose, body aches, etc. After doing some internet research I found that lot's of women get this side effect. My RN however said she had never heard of it. So the flu in exchange for 4 months of wrinkle free eyes...I think I'll try it again and see if I get the same results!

Before I went to Mexico the esthetician I go to had me on a serum that has Kojic Acid , Asorbic acid, Green Tea, and Salycic acid. It did wonders for my brown spots and virtually made them disappear. While I used it that is. Once I ran out of the product the spots came back. The esthetician had mentioned that Hydroquinone worked well on them as well and was a little more aggressive. So I purchased 4 tubes of the highest concentration available 4% in Mexico by company that is based in CA. So far the kojic acid worked best so I might just stick to that. The other product that I purchased was the Retin A which is suppose to be the new wonder cream for wrinkles. I bought it at a mid concentration grade of .05%, it's suppose take 6 months of continous use for you to see results. I'll let you know the results in the spring. So far it makes my skin look good. The creams are absorbed best after I give myself microneedle therapy, which makes the skin absorb the topical solution by 80% versus 20% when applied alone. I'll tell you more about how microneedle therapy works on my next blog which is stretchmarks.
